At Media Art Bath, we avoid limiting ourselves to what might be recogniseable as 'new media' projects. Instead we focus on the three words of our organisation's name Media, Art and Bath as co-ordinates to a territory of investigation. This enables us to invite artists from a broad spectrum of practices into our programme as well as raising a variety of issues for consideration.
We encourage performative practices, engaging with ideas of site and event, and where appropriate we encourage artists to collaborate with those working in other artforms or disciplines.
We do not operate through a gallery of our own, instead we prefer to choose a site that is appropriate to each individual project.
